George,

The Tire Rack at http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp has a section where you
can research each of the major tire brands, e.g. view of the tire, specs on
tire, size and price. I found the new tread design on the Michelin Pilot
Sport to be super ugly and that's too bad because it is a good tire. The
old MXX Michelin tires had great tread design and a Pantera shows off the
tread to the max. The Perilli 335/35ZR17 is a little wider at the tread
edge than some of the other tires and it can rub on the body if your car
does not have spring spacers. Check the tire heights carefully. I was
looking for the tallest back tire and the shortest front. Some of the
vendors like Dunlop have a great tread and a good combination of tires for
16" and 17' wheels. The side wall ratio is also correct between the front
and back tires with the Dunlop 245/45/ZR16 and 335/35/ZR17 combination. I
have a section on my site that covers new tires and wheel alignment.

Mike
