George,
    I bought the Michelin Pilot Sports.  Love 'em.  They have about 2k
miles on them with little noticeable wear.  The last outing was about 48
hard laps at the Las Vegas Fun Rally a few weeks ago.  Stick like glue. 
Again little additional wear from this event.
    Popular press says that the Dunlop 8000 are rated best.  So I don't
think you could go wrong with either one.
