Yo My Peeps,

Here's the skinny on Silver State and September.  THIS
is the biggest and the baddest event participation we
have ever had.  As a team the most important thing to
remember at this time is we are participating in the
SSCC Silver State event on Sunday, September 23, 2001
and "NOT" the week earlier on September 16.

Everyone that originally registered for Silver State
on that date is "still" registered but now the date
has changed because of the added 2nd event.  This new
event which is one week earlier is called the "Silver
State Gold Rush Challenge", which is now scheduled to
take place on September 16, 2001, one week before our
scheduled event.

So both the old and the new events will run
back-to-back in September but the roads and dates are
different so be sure you don't get them confused...Are
you confused yet?! :-]

Okay, what this means is since the Silver State race
date has changed everyone will have to RECONFIRM HOTEL
AND MOTEL RESERVATIONS as soon as possible. I repeat
reconfirm your arrival in Vegas and Ely for the new
dates ASAP! If you don't do this NOW you will be
sleeping in your car or trailer when you arrive! :-[

I have not got a "confirmed" registration list from
Bunny yet but this is as close as I can get at this
time of drivers who have told me they ARE registered
or are SSCC Life Time Members which means they get in
if they want to or I know we can get in them in at the
last minute:

Most of these guys are on the forum although John or I
will call you in the next couple weeks to coordinate
"what" speed class you plan to run your car in so we
can max our chances of winning the Team Trophy again.

Should you decide you want to do BOTH events back to
back on top of the team discount you will also  be
eligible for an additional $75 discount.

The important thing right now is for those of you
registered to CHANGE YOUR HOTEL/MOTEL RESERVATIONS
ASAP to support the September 23 date.  For you
veterans remember we have moved the Vegas base from
the ShowBoat to Sam's Town....visit the SS web site at
