DeTomaso Mailing List: July 2001, Message #202

Kenny Loggins does a song called Mr. Night and it has a part where he sings;
"de Tomaso the night a way" and then another part where he sings "get away
Lamborghini".   Some of my Atlanta Pantera buddies and I thought that he was
singing about de Tomaso cars so I sent Kenny a message to confirm.

It took about three months and two emails to Kenny to get my response, but
he responded today and he said:  "You guessed correctly!  The car was the
Lamborghini DeTomaso  as it was the sleekest, fastest car of its time (in my
mind).  The idea was to write an oblique, Steely Dan sort of lyric about a
guy framed for drug trafficking in Mexico."

What a deal, that Kenny is a pretty cool car guy!
