I did this many years ago, what I remember is that it was tough to get the
water neck, which is part of the tube leading to the header tank, to seal
against the block.  Had to sand the flange part flat, and use RTV, as I
recall.

Using only two screws to hold the water neck on, a real sore point on US
engines.  Even my MGB has three spaced 120 apart.  Damn those bean-counters!
