Easy question: the rubber washer insulator separating the two halves of each
motor mount tend to collapse on the inner side from heat and engine weight,
over time. The collapse of the rubber into a wedge shape puts a big strain on
the original grade-five bolts into the block, which bend a little, then
break. The fix is to replace the old rubber with new rubber. Note-
aftermarket urethane mount insulators will quickly melt from the heat, even
outside of Texas.... Preventive measures are to occasionally rotate the
rubber insulators 180 degrees, so the inside edge doesn't collapse. Kind of
like rotating your tires. As for oil temps, you are obviously badly
overheating the stuff. 351Cs are tough engines, but unless you get a 10-qt
pan and a big oil cooler, you are eventually gonna do a serious hurt to the
motor. Talk to Gregg Sullivan in new Mexico for details. Cheers- J deRyke
