Okay, since you brought it up, what is the proper pronunciation of S-P-A?
Ess Pee Ay? Ess Pah Ah?
While we're at it, is it Zee Eff or Zed Eff?

Subject: Meaning of S.p.A.
Hi guys,
Awhile back, somebody on this forum asked regarding the meaning of S.p.A.,
as
in De Tomaso Modena S.p.A. While many of us theorized that it was something
akin to our "inc.", I decided to ask them directly. Liz, De Tomaso's main
interpreter, gave a detailed reply. Our conversation appears below....

S.p.a stands for Società per Azioni (literally Company per share).
Lots of Americans talk about

instead be
> pronounced as the individual letters S,P,A?
Yes, every letter should be read individually.
As far as I have been taught it means that every partner holds a part
of the total share of the company in terms of money, means and capital
in general. In Italy it is very common because in this way also
responsability is shared among the partners.
This is everything I know, I hope my explanation was helpful enough!
Whenever you have some doubts I am here!!
Ciao
Liz
