None of there gauges have the correct impedance match for a Pantera. They
are also unable or unwilling to modify one for our application. Resistors
will not improve accuracy with any of their gauge applications in a Pantera.
Which
gauge did you purchase?
My '73 Pantera fuel sender's impedance is 200 Ohms empty and 0 Ohms Full.
Desirous of matching gauges, I compromised and purchased the Autometer fuel
gauge that reflected empty at 240 Ohms and full at 30 Ohms. I then
extracted my sender from the fuel tank and bent it to provide more accurate
readings across the scale. This was easier as I had the tank out of the
car. However, it was a challenge to get the tank to sit at the same angle
which affects readings. I would add 5 gallons of fuel at a time to confirm
gauge readings. As I was more concerned with accuracy at the lower end of
the gauge, I focused on getting 5 gallons to register at 1/4 tank ( 20 gal
tank). In the end, 5 gals registered just under a 1/4, 10 gals registered
just under 3/4 and 15 gals (obviously 20 as well) pegged at full. This was
a compromise that I could live with.
A superior and more costly solution is to acquire a different sender. These
are available.
I wish you luck.

Iatttempted to hook it up to the existing wires but the gauge reads over the
full line. Do I need toput some resistors in the circuit? Alex
