Yeah!  I have a *real* good idea.  I had the exact same problem that began
at about 49,000 miles.  It started occurring somewhat intermittently, but
got worse over a 3 week period.  I replaced the plugs. No change. I replaced
the fuel filter (located under the rear of the car, just forward of the
differential). No change.  I changed fuel. No change. I tried dry gas. No
change.

Finally, I threw up my hands and took the car to the dealer. (As much as I
hated to do it.)  Without even test driving it first, the dealer replaced
the ignition wires. (Under warranty!)  She's running great now!  I'm
really surprised that the wires could crap out so quick.
