Could anyone elaborate on "SF-325 Hydroplaners"?
I have received several emails suggesting the replacement of stock tires 
(SF-325s) on my one-week-old Miata for similar reasons.

Since it's only been a week after I subscribed to the Miata group (and
one week as a Miata owner), I know that this may have been a FAQ.
Email may be more apporpriate. Thanks....
