I agree with your reasons for Mazda's justification for using the 4 banger in
the Maita.I don't agree with your opinion of the rotary engine. Being a former
RX-7 owner I am used to hearing the engine"growl", if you will. If I had the
spare $10K, RX-7 drive train, and the desire I would send my Miata to MazdaTrix
immediately to have them do the swap. Being in grad school does have it's
limitations, however.
         In regards to the query about other owners trading up to a newer
moadel, no way. As soon as I saw the 93 I knew that I would never get rid of
my 92. If the opportunity ever arises, I may purchase a second Miata. I do not
like the line of the 93's nose now that it has the corporate emblem. I also
dislike the base of the new remote mirrors. I like the remote function, not the
styling.
