Hi, Subsequent to my mail of last week, I now have a partially working sound system in my car! The problem was a chip inside the radio that controls the rear (headrest) speakers. This 'went' and the whole radio stopped working as there was a problem. According to the people that fixed it thus far, there's no reason for this chip to 'go'. They don't wear out, or suffer from age... they've never experienced any problems in the Mazda radio's. They checked the wiring to and from the radio and said that nothing's shorting out, as far as they can tell. My headrest speakers still aren't functional tho'. When you turn the radio/tape on and off then you can hear them pop - so there's some signal coming through, but there's no music. The best these radio doctors could suggest was see how it is over the next week or so, and put it back in for them to try to figure out why the rear speakers aren't working. Has anyone experienced any problems with their headrest speakers? Anyone have any ideas? Many thanx, Jo =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Jo Woodison E-Mail: woodison@ingres.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the secrets of a good life are early nights, good food, exercise and clean living..but......the secrets of a happy life are..late nights....wild parties..
