Herb Samuels writes: "When the Miata came out I read that it cost Mazda $100,000,000 to develop and bring the Miata to production." Could someone please call up the chairmen of all car manufacturing companies and point this out to them? And then please tatoo the words "Creativity: There is No Substitute" on their foreheads backwards so they have to read it every morning in the mirror. How can some of the recent abominations (like the Chevy Caprice) get on the road at 10 to 20 times the price? I had no idea Mazda spent so little to develop the Miata. There should be a Nobel Prize for Car Design and Production and it should go to the Mazda designers and engineers. These guys are geniuses. -Al
