I'm considering the purchase of a Pylon Motorsports "street" rollbar.
Does anyone out there own one of these?  Does it feel like it offers
any degree of protection?  How about additional chassis stiffness?
Can you describe in detail how it attaches to the car?

The catalogue entry indicates that the bar is "SCCA solo II legal".
What exactly does that mean?

Apparently this bar doesn't get in the way of the rear window as do
some others I've heard mention of.

Are there any alternative recommendations?
