I've have an Whistler Spectrum remote detector which I got in 84.  On of
the first good superheterodyne type detectors.  It is super steathly with
the control box only having a switch and an led, no fancy decals or other
give away stuff.  I don't think anyone builds such a stealth unit anymore.
The performance is a slight compromise, but is insegnificant in the
detection envelope of these units.  The only problem is it is part of the
car, and can't easily be used on more than one.   ---JCG.
