Being from one of the "Twin-Plate States" myself (Massachusettes, "Where the
shortest distance between two points is under construction..."), I found
through the help of some other netters that the stock plate holder works and
looks wonderful.... if you turn it UPSIDE DOWN.  It doesn't look like it'll
fit, but trust me, it will.  It's still high enough to clear curbs, but is
low enough to be slightly less noticable.  AND, it doesn't (appear) to
interrupt the airflow to the engine at all.  No change in the engine temp
since I flipped mine a while ago....
