Jan, we had our Miata's 60k service done a few months ago (at nearly 80k -
bought it used, previous owner hadn't done it).  The car sounds the same
after the service as before - no strange noises.  I don't know what you're
hearing.  If the place you had it serviced can't or won't correct it, I'd
check further with Miata knowledgeable people, or higher up the Mazda chain
from the dealer (assuming a dealer did the work).  Good luck-
