Don't think that the cargo I was carrying was the strangest but it may have 
been one of the largest...

My wife and I went to an antique store 'just to look!' in my red '91 A package.

I left first, leaving my wife at the store, carrying a wooden chest/trunk in 
the passenger seat.  It was so big that it had to be lowered into the 
passenger seat of the car by 2 people outside the car and me standing in the 
driver seat. My wife stood by smiling and watching carefully to make sure 
nothing was scratched or dented (speaking of the car of course...)  It was 
so wide that I could only use 1st and 2nd gear to drive.  It was so tall 
that it extended over 3 feet above the top of the windshield.  Eleven miles 
is a very long way to drive when you're limited to 1st and 2nd gear!

I've gotten a lot of great looks driving my Miata over the last few years 
but none even come close to the ones I got driving home that day.
