You know, the mention of a little metal plate that attaches to the
license plate is probably a good suggestion.  Why don't you make
something simple that you can bolt over the side of your license tag?
Wouldn't have to be much bigger than the sticker with a hole for one of
the bolts to slip thru.
Maybe this would be a good miata accessory (useful to owners of other
cars with nice-looking bumpers also) to make and sell.

Anyway, just a thought..........
