Finally, some winter weather here in Phila. 6-8" or so of powdery white stuff- enough to present a ground clearance problem for a Saturn, let alone a Miata. When it can get a grip, the car handles fine in the snow-- there isn't any major oversteer problems that I'd expect from a RWD car. But with standard sized tires, it was too light and tended to float over the snow, getting no traction and sliding all over the place. I think I'm going to follow Miq's advice and get 13" Honda rims with narrow snow tires next year. BTW, I finally found a use for a front license plate-- it makes a passable snow shovel.
