Paul Lu sez: >Mazda's solution - combine 7 and miata. Well, just wait until all those >who can afford miata and enjoyed the fun car insurance suddenly findout >that they have to pay more for insurance then car payment or even got >dropped by their insurance companies - happened to me for my 12 years >old sports car with four years clean record and premium only relationship. >Not to mention sports car fans like my neighbour thinking miata is toy. This is a very scary statement, insurance-wise! I've already seen the difference in price between a company which considers Prudence to be a sports car and one which doesn't. I don't like the idea of _all_ companies going pricey on me! But Paul's right, if the newest MX-5 is supposed to be a MX/RX hybrid, they (the evil insurance empire) may take that as an opportunity to re-class the car. Does anyone know of any other "sports-cars" that are classed differently by year at the insurance companies? Can we be saved?
