From: DataMan2@aol.com Subject: Isabella's Mouth is Broken Please Help Date: Sun, 2 Jun 1996 20:41:02 -0400
To all my esteemed friends and colleagues, I finally decided to permanently (for the summer) take the wraps off of Isabella this weekend. I had been collecting little odds and ends to install on her for us to enjoy during the warmer months. Today was the day for some of those goodies to go in. While installing the sway bar kit so graciously supplied to me by our fellow 'netter Randy Stocker, I noticed that the plastic piece that holds the bottom of the "chin", with the vertical bars that attach up behind the "upper lip" with two plastic phillips type screw clips, was broken. Actually it was Shattered (Sha Doo Be). I was wondering if one of youse guys that installed an intercooler had removed this part, and it is just laying around collecting dust or something in your garage. I would be happy to take it off your hands for a reasonable sum of money. I haven't yet gotten a price from my local dealer, because they aren't open 'till tomorrow (Mon). Maybe Tommy or another dealer would like to sell it to me ? That's fine with me. All I want is Isabella to once again smile at me like she did before this terrible disfigurement. I vow not to sleep untill I find the culprit of this heinious crime to humanity. No turn will be left unstoned in the search for the.....the animal that spoiled my sweet babys face. On a happier note, I installed the famous (infamous) lights that I purchased from Garry Hollett. They are a fantastic improvement over the stock lights (especially the dead one). Took her out for a ride to see just how well the stabilizer bars worked. It can be described in one and a half words: G-FORCE !! Combine that with the 18 degree timing thing, and I may not ever drive my Corvette again!! I know, I'll sell the Vette to buy a supercharger for the Miata, and I'll still have enough money left to buy "The Elusive Yellow Miata" and a turbo for it too! I promise to buy a 5-speed yellow one to go with the silver auto I have now. Hell, maybe I'll even drive one Year 'round! NAH! (that is going too far) TIA FIA or whatever It's the DataMan................ Team Miata (not stock anymore!) Team Corvairs Al Corelli 91 SilBer Isabella New Rochelle, NY
