Subject: On-off radio fix stops cassette

After suffering the annoying radio on-off problem caused by humidity, 
when I had my radio out of the car recently, I thought I'd try to fix 
it.  I have tried the fix listed on the listserv (and subsequently 
listed in these web pages and in Miata magazine) for the "on-off" 
problem in the stock Miata radio.  However, I found that when I jumped 
the #5-11 pins, the cassette deck would not work.  When I remove the 
jumper, the cassette deck works again.  I have gone through the 
archives to see if anyone has reported this problem in the past, but 
no one has (or if so, I haven't bee o find it). 

Has anyone else had this problem with the on-off fix and if so, are 
there any "work-arounds" to this problem.
