Down here in metric NZ, I've never heard of "JIS crosspoint".

Is this what we call "pozi-drive" ?

Pozi-drive has squarer edges than philips, and the fasteners themselves have
a little extra cross etched at a 45 degrees from the actual drive grooves
into the face of the fastener, so you can easily identify them...

Also my Oct-89, and all other MX-5's I've seen have torx for the header
clips. I'm guessing Denis' have been replaced...
