Pozi-driv is close to the JIS crosspoint, but they are not
exactly the same. IIRC, the blade width of the + part is
different and the angle of the point is also a little
different. However, a Pozi-driv tool is a better fit than
Phillips.

JIS stands for Japanese Industrial Standard so it's quite
possible that metric NZ hasn't heard of it.

Down here in metric NZ, I've never heard of "JIS
crosspoint".

Is this what we call "pozi-drive" ?

Pozi-drive has squarer edges than philips, and the fasteners
themselves have
a little extra cross etched at a 45 degrees from the actual
drive grooves
into the face of the fastener, so you can easily identify
them...

Also my Oct-89, and all other MX-5's I've seen have torx for
the header
clips. I'm guessing Denis' have been replaced...
