I like to fold it into quarters along the existing gaps in the plastic edges, 

lie it on a flat, dry surface (like the road) and then run over it repeatedly 

with my Jeep at speed.  Works like a charm.

Another helpful Miata accessory hint.

Anyone have a good system for folding the top boot?  I've seriously
considered buying the boot holder from Brainstorm for $30 just for the
sheet that tells you how to fold it.  (OK, maybe not so seriously
considered, but I would like to know how they get it flat).
