Jack M.,
I've been to numerous Car Guys schools over the last few years.  I've had 
local shops do the tech form for free.  Try NTW in Tyson's Corner.  I usually 
had the brake system flushed, and some other minor work done (custom alignment)
 at the same time, and they would just check over the car and sign the form.  
It's really not that extensive.

After a while, I did all the brake work and other prep stuff on the car myself,
 so I just filled out the form after a thorough check-out and signed it "Enzo 
Ferrari" in an illegible scrawl.  Car Guys never blinked.

Now I don't go to Car Guys anymore.  Anyway, enjoy the Point and the school.  
They put together a good event.  It's also great track.
