Why is it again that everyone's mentioning their license-plate numbers? Oh, well. Here goes: MOST INTERNATIONAL: I've got a friend here in Indiana who bought Japanese-market badges for his blue 1994 R and ordered the vanity plate EUNOS. MOST FUN: I saw a guy this week with a plate reading IB KRUSN. MOST FUNCTIONAL: Personally, as an "enthusiastic" driver, I can't see saddling myself with an easily read and memorable vanity plate. To me, the perfect license plate would be one visually confusing enough so that angry, fist-waving farmers can't read it as it recedes into the distance, and sufficiently difficult to remember that county cops can't call it in accurately on their radios. I favor the digital system, employing the maximum number of digits: The plate reads 0110101. Or is it 1001101? No, wait. It's 0101101.
