I.E. in CA we have a good chance of 315:60 or a topless to top on >ratio of 5.25 (alternatively, a top on to topless ratio of 0.16) I think that here in Michigan, the ratio of top-down to top-up days would be something like 75:290. Of course, for those of us who store our playthings in the winter, you can deduct the 180 days where the car is stored, leaving a "mere" 75:110 ratio. I figure that the 110 days between May and October account for the 60 days of rain and the 35 days of 85+ degrees and 85% humidity that makes putting the top down the surest way to heat stroke! You can put half those days back if you only want to drive the car from 7pm to 7am. The other 15 days are for early May and late October when it's too damn cold to put the top down because the owners manual tells you not to do it at below 50F. I thought our skeeters were big here 'til I took a trip out to the DC/Maryland area. They have some of the biggest damn bugs I have ever seen there. Ours may be numerous, but theirs are registered with the FAA! +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Marc Gorelick mgorelick@aas.com PMH Caramanning, Inc. | | Mitzi - White '91A Farmington Hills, MI | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+
