[DeTomaso] European Lens Taillights Question

I see Euro taillight lenses(Amber turn signal) advertised that are one piece 
like the stock L lenses. I bought a Euro set several years ago and the lenses 
have two parts each. There is an upper and a lower. And the casing underneath 
is different to accomodate the two part lenses, as well. Which is correct? Or 
could this be an Pre L to L difference?

Just curious.
