Call Steve Wilkinson. He sells the Carrera shocks (now QA1 ?) and I like
them very much. They are only height adjustable, but the ride is very good.

Just my experience

Subject: [DeTomaso] Aftermarket Shocks - QA1

What are the aftermarket shock options and recommendations out there?

IS anyone running the HAL/QA1 shocks (apparently the parent company of
Ohlins & Carrera) and if so which model #'s and how do they perform.

I contacted QA1 tech support and they suggested the following;

DR5855P - Aluminum 12-way adjustable, 17" extended, 11.6" compressed.
HAL-12-XXX - 12" spring XXX signifies # rating. I was thinking 450# front &
550# rear, how does that sound?

Summit have these shocks at $150 ea and springs at $35 ea. If I want to go
double adjustable the part # is DDR5855P and they run up to $278 ea.

The QA1 Tech guy also said that although the shocks above are 12"
recommended spring length, I might be able to use a 10" spring. My objective
is to get the car to sit lower so I guess the 10" would help that.

Can anyone pass on experience or wisdom on QA1, spring # & length and
whether it would be worth going the extra for the double adjustables?

Thanks
Julian
