Julian, I goofed on the shock lengths. My old Telecar shocks measure 16" long extended & 12" long compressed to the bump-stops, which are 2" long. So the useable shock travel is only 4". Our '72 L originally came with 195-lb/in springs on both ends. Sorry for MY confusion- J DeRyke
