[DeTomaso] Pantera owners are everywhere

I was on a flight from Atlanta to Denver last night on our way to the
Northwest and was seated next to a Pirelli Marketing Coordinator.  I was
telling him how great it would be if Pirelli made 15" tires for our
Panteras.   He was telling me how their fully automated factory in Atlanta
can make batches of tires by just entering the tire parameters into the
computer system and what it would take setup for Pantera tire sizes.  It
sounds like it would be easy for them to make Pantera tires if they would be
willing to spend the time it takes to set up the system with the old tire
specs.  Some tire testing would also be required.  

 

I was telling him about number of Panteras, the fact that there are more
than he might realize worldwide and a voice from the seat behind us said
"are you talking about Panteras?"   It was Rich Hatfield, owner of a 71 twin
turbo modular engine Pantera that lives in California!  Needless to say the
Pirelli guy was impressed that Pantera owners are everywhere.
