[DeTomaso] 15" Pantera tire sizes

My car has BFG Radial T/A 305/50's on an 8" rim. They do balloon out a bit more
than I like and I imagine that sidewall integrity is compromised in a high load turn
(greater likelihood of breaking the bead), but they were on the car when I bought
it. I would have no qualms about putting a 275 tire on an 8" rim, but check what
the manufacturer recommends. Anything less looks anorexic on the back end of
a Pantera.
