[DeTomaso] Sumitomo Tires

I had Sumitomo tires on a twin-turbo Supra 5 or 6 years ago. They came on
the car when I bought it and I eventually replaced them with Pirelli
P-7000s. I'd say that the Sumitomo tires didn't have the dry grip as the
Pirellis, but were perfectly fine as a performance street tire and were
decent in the rain. The Sumitomos also seemed to wear forever relative to
the Pirellis that only lasted about 10k miles (and were about $300/tire).

Subject: [DeTomaso] Sumitomo Tires

I'm doing some research on tires. For my new Kodiak wheels I wanted to
get the BFGoodrich TA KD but they arent making the 315/35/17 tires
(backordered for 2months) I saw the Sumitomo tires received a good
rating on the TireRack site. They are half the price of BFG's. Anyone
have experience with these tires?
