[DeTomaso] Proper Size Fuel Line?

Chris,
My 420 Flywheel HP (through the mufflers) Pantera shows a steady 6.5 psi at
the carb inlet with an electric fuel pump and 3/8" ID lines. Since a 1/2"
ID line has ~1.8 times the cross sectional area, I would think anything over
1/2" ID lines would be overkill for a 650 flywheel HP Pantera. Keep in mind
that the fuel lines in a Pantera are short compared to a front engine, rear
fuel tank car so there's less flow restriction and the car's acceleration
forces don't fight the fuel pump as much. I assume you'll be enlarging the
tank pickup tubing or tapping off the bottom drain hole (like I did). I
also used a Holley #40 jet to flow restrict a return line from the carb back
to the tank so that the fuel stays cooler in the lines.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Proper Size Fuel Line?
What diameter fuel line would be required to support as much as 660 HP at
the flywheel in a naturally aspirated, carburated engine?
