Jack and others,

thanks for the replies. I do not have any leaks or any other problems. i was thinking this would be a good time
for some preventative maintenance while my engine is out of the car.

  thanx,

  John

John, I've not used Eastwood's product, but I have used other such
tank-coaters, and most compounds need the tank violently agitated after adding the mix,
to properly distribute it over the whole inside of the tank . In a Pantera or
most other cars, this requires having the tank out of the car- no small job
for us. Second, many such compounds are attacked by California gasoline that
contains MTBE and other toxic solvents. The dried coatings then flake off and
clog fuel filters, pumps and carb/efi systems. Some alcohols also attack the
coatings. I'd ask the Eastwood rep lots of questions. What seems to be the
problem that would need such an internal coating? Curious- JDeRyke
