I'd have to agree with Dave. I have had my MSD 6T in for over 10 years with an MSD 8577 distributor. The only time that it didn't work was when a friend helped me work on the car, and got the wires mixed up and told me that the unit was bad. I ended sending the MSD unit back to the factory, they checked it out, didn't need to repair it, and MSD sent it back No Charge.
As Jack said, the Pertronix, to seems to fail. This is one reason I upgraded to an MSD.
Anyone need a failed Pertronix in a mallory distributor cheap.
Also, from what I have seen most EVERY Performance Center carries MSD in stock!
Just thinking off the top of my head here for a moment. What type of distributor are you using?
I am just wondering... if the success of Dave and I running our MSD's for so long is related to having the MSD distributor?
Just a thought,
-dt
