Ok, we hooked up the new box. Still no go. At least it ran last night. We
get spark at the cap, but not at the plugs. Open the distributor cap and
find the rotor is burnt up. All the metal parts are at the bottom. And the
carbon point in the center of the cap is gone. Now I wish that I had some
everyday parts in the car. I have an ACCEL dual sync distributor to go with
the DFI fuel injection system. Dist pt# 77204 cap# 74071 rotor# 74075. I
can't even find these parts online except @ ACCEL and they don't seem to
sell to the public. Tomorrow is Sunday WTF. Bryce has put the rotor back
together and we're considering epoxying a carbon button from another cap in
place. Every time he makes some progress, the phone rings and he has to go
tow another car. Rom and Beth have arrived in Chicago where we are supposed
to meet tonight and we are 4 hours behind if the car gets fixed. What a
wonderful vacation.
