  I just checked with Russ Fulps and it doesn't look like my engine will be ready in time for Sand Hills.  I'm gonna e-mail Joe in Nebraska and see if SORC will give me a refund or credit for next year since I already paid for the @#&%ing registration....
   
  In anycase  the team really needs YOU Tom and the "Silver-Bullet" on the starting line to represent us all  at Sand Hills. I'll definately be ready for Silver State in Sept. but gonna slacker out for Nebraska....so you GOTTA BE THERE!

boys hoist and some old chain I've used many times for this sort of
thing. It was very tight with the decklid on and I kept having to make
minor adjustments as I worked the combo out of there. I did it by myself
and I must say I was pretty proud when it finally cleared the rear lip. 
Now comes the disassembly. I've got to get the block and heads to the
machine shop this week to get 'er all back together for the Nebraska
ORR.
