[DeTomaso] Tire Buying Time

That should eliminate the problem of ordering tires just to find out
when they arrive that they have a date code of 3 years ago! :) Didn't
that happen to Dan C.?
I'd be interested in find ANY tire that will perform like the Pilot
MXX3's and that is available in those two sizes with a "Y" or "W" speed
rating (and DOT rated). Even though I don't drive 170 MPH, I want my
tires to have margin to my 150 MPH speed.
Am I missing something? I don't see any that meet those requirements
anymore. Please let me know if someone has a solution.
Thanks,
JB

JB,
What is most interesting, is that just because it is not listed on the
website does not mean that it is not still in production. The Dunlop
245/45ZR16 was/is not listed but Dunlop said they will be available next
week. Apparently there is a pretty big demand for them and they get
sold
out and then more are produced in batches.

I think it seems like it will be discontinued because places like the
Tirerack still list the 335/35-17 in the Michelin Pilots but no longer
have the 245/45-16's.
