[DeTomaso] Campy restoration

I don't know if this applies but Zinc Chromate +6 (Hexavalent Chromate) is being phased out of the plating industry due to environmental concerns.  It is being replaced by Zinc Chromate +3 (Trivalent).  The Chromate is a passivisation of the Zinc that gives more resistance to oxidation.  I can still find ZiCr at the auto paint stores.  The above is for plating not sure if it applies to paint.
