So we are basically stuck with either short tires (Yokohama 345 35 15's /
23.5") or non-speed rated.
I am hoping to find cheap 19" wheels because there are alot of speed rated
19" tires available now, and they are obviously tall.

I hear that.......I don't want to find out either.
I'm going to just keep looking for rims that'll fit my size tires and
will take ORR-type loads.

There are some close-but-not-quite tires that may work for some people.
Yokohama makes a wide tire (335 or so, as I recall) that is speed rated
for
15" wheels. However, they are short and very expensive.
Toyo makes a tire that is the right width and height for our 15" rears,
but
they are really just an H-rated (130mph) SUV tire. They are fine for
around
town but not good for any real driving.
Nitto makes the speed rated 555R tire in several good sizes for the
Pantera
rear (not to be confused with the Nitto 555 or the 555RII). However,
although they are DOT, they are really intended for drag racing, not for
handling the lateral forces of an ORR or road course track. The 555s
tend
to be popular with the Mustang street crowd, so they could be OK for
track/ORR use. Dunno. Don't want to find out the hard way.
