Guys, someone HAS made a perfect (better than new) reproduction part for
the door handle tubs. No filing, no scraping, no nothing. It matches
the body curve, yada-yada-yada. Of course I know there are those that
need to original stuff, but its not necessary.

Look down the page a bit.....
JB - has Y-rated tires too. (no Ariva's)

Too bad someone who went to all the expense and effort to make a
reproduction part didn't go just a little further and make one that fits
properly and won't ruin an expensive door panel. Sounds like "Mickey
Mouse"
stuff to me. Parts like this are the reason some people pay unbelievable
prices for genuine NOS parts. This "half done" stuff fills a large part
of
the market with disappointed buyers and leaves too small a market for
someone who actually wants to make the part properly. What a shame.

Jeff & Joel,
The door handle bezels are from Hall Pantera. I dug out the
receipt
and my husband (he was just my boy friend back then) had bought them for
my
car back in 1997, what a nice guy. Payed $128.08 with tax and
shipping.
They are black anodized aluminum and I think there had to be a
little
filing done on them to make them fit correctly. But all Hall parts have
to
be modified before they work, it's the do-it-yourself angle of owning a
Pantera.
I'm quite pleased with the quality and fit. They do not have the
slight
curve top to bottom that the originals have, but if you don't cinch them
down too tight it won't flatten the door panel and look strange.
All in all me thinks they are better than the plastic ones, they
show no
wear where your finger nail rub inside the cup and no sun/heat damage.
