[DeTomaso] Tire choice for 17 inch wheels

Dear Mike,

     Hmmm, that's interesting. I bought my low-buck Sumitomos after I splurged for new Konis&springs a few years ago.  I have used the same tires you're looking at in 245-40(?)-17 & 315-35-17 for at least two years or so and at least (estimated) 2000 miles.  They're very satisfactory for street and highway and spirited driving.  I haven't taken them to the track and wouldn't expect them to be more than average in that situation.  
     Go ahead and buy the darn things and tell the nannys at Tire Rack that you're going to put them on a modified Honda......
