I have no problem with any business making $. I do have a problem when items are marked up more than 1000%.

That is known as greed and price gouging.

Did I say -all- parts would be cheaper? Did I say Pantera vendors were
dedicated to "not making money?" That's ridiculous, they are in
business just like anyone other business, to make money. They can
provide some parts cheaper and faster because they buy them as directs
at lower prices. Other parts are more expensive, sometimes because the
vendor has spent the money to tool up and re-pop the part themselves.

All I'm saying is that sometimes you'll spend a little more, but it will
have been worth it, since your own time is money too. You certainly can
take as much time as you want to find it on your own and pay less.

And on the other side of that, when a $15 rubber shift boot sells on
ebay for over $150 to some dumba** who won't call up a Pantera vendor to
buy one for $15, I think the vendors have every right to jack the price
higher. It's a matter of what the market will bear.

How does that fit in to our vendors dedication?I got four from a local shop for $5 in total after seeing that ridicilous price. Can someone explain their dedication to not making money?Ron ScottWell said, AJ! I wrote a small article on this subject a decade or so back in
