[DeTomaso] Tires for 15" Campys

Hi Jim and All:

For vintage racing (where the rules require "treaded" tires) I have zero
choice but to run Hoosier DOT R3S04s or the replacement R3S05s that have
just come out.  

The sizes I use are

F:  225/50ZR15
R:  275/50R15

The rears could definitely be larger but that's as wide as they come so
that's what I'm stuck with.  VARA rules allow me to go up one inch in
diameter from the original size but that doesn't help me Hoosier-wise.

Guys running Mustangs and Cobras pretty much all use Goodyear Blue
Streak vintage racing tires but they don't make fronts small enough to
fit my car.  

Mark McWhinney pointed out that Hoosier is blowing out their R3S04s to
make way for the new '05s.  I was sorry to see that the front sizes
aren't being offered but plan to call the Tire Rack to see what they can
do for some fronts.

I highly recommend the Hoosiers for you open road racers.  I just
wouldn't plan on driving 500 miles to the site and having any tire left
to get you home.

Aren't the largest 15" Hoosiers 245/45X15? Are you running 245 all the
way around or 225 fronts and 245 rears?
