Correct- as an addendum, I found that a 26-1/2" dia rear tire with the above
speedo & adapter allowed us to "zero" Time & Distance Rallies laid out with
precision aftermarket speedos to 0.10 mile accuracy. As for later-than '76
Ford-era Panteras, a last-of-the-line Pantera 200, or SI, or other name...... seen
at the factory in '96 had an electronic speedo drive screwed onto a
stock-looking right-angle adapter at the stock-appearing ZF DS-2 with wires (but no
cable) disappearing into the rear wire loom, and a stock-appearing electronic
speedo in the dash, probably interfaced to the brainbox for the EFI Ford 302
engine. I forget the diameter tires being run on its 17" rear wheels. FWIW- J DeRyke
