This means for a wheel to go down 1 inch you need to be airborne and to
go down 1 inch you need 3300# of down force.

Looks like you sumarized the springrate 1000+1000+650+650 for wheelrate?
This is not correct, we have a motion ratio of say 0,7 which makes
0,7^2*3300=1617p/inch at the wheels together.
Well this is not correct either, I got a better formula that even takes the instant centre
to scrub radious in to account, the we also got the A-arm angle in the picture.
But lets leave this for now.
Anyway, Dennis Q is right so fare that the shocks calibrated for such springs makes a
bigger difference for the ride than the springs. Also, modern shock tecnology is by fare
supperior to the older designs, allowing for stiffer springs for the same good ride. However,
softer springs gives better tire grip, but at the cost of more bodyroll that influence camber
in a bad manner. We are allways hawing our back on the backside.
