Pull the engine and get the easy-outs wire-edm'ed out of there. Tap for
a larger bolt and move on?

Subject: [DeTomaso] Busted engine mount bolts

Hi all,
Last week Dennis Quella at Pantera Performance Center discovered that
the engine mount bolts on the passenger side of the car were sheared
off. I brought the car home, bought the correct size easy-out and drill
bit, drilled the holes into the remaining studs, squirted PB blaster
before and after drilling, inserted the easy-out and promptly broke it
off in the hole.
After much cursing, move to the other stud, repeat procedures and broke
off that easy-out also. Now I have 2 sheared off bolts in the engine
block, no more room to drill 'cause of the easy-out bits in the hole,
and cannot guess what else to do.
Any suggestions?
Tom Di Iulio
